Account Executive – Higher Education
About the Role
We are looking for a high-performing Account Executive to drive adoption of our AI platform across higher education institutions.
This role focuses on selling directly to senior academic leadership, including Provosts, Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Deans, and Presidents. These leaders are actively exploring how AI can responsibly support teaching, learning, and student success, and this role will help guide them through that transformation.
We are a Series A company, which means the playbook is still being built. We are looking for someone who combines enterprise sales discipline with grit, creativity, and initiative. You will help generate pipeline, close early customers, and refine the sales motion that will power the company's growth.
This is a role for someone who enjoys building—not just operating within an established system.
What You'll Do
Drive New Institutional Partnerships
- Build relationships with Provosts, Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, Deans, and Presidents
- Lead consultative sales conversations around institutional priorities such as student success, faculty productivity, and responsible AI adoption
- Navigate complex university buying processes and multi-stakeholder decision environments
Build Pipeline Through Outbound Prospecting
- Generate pipeline through targeted outbound outreach
- Use phone, email, LinkedIn, and conference networking to secure meetings with senior academic leaders
- Identify institutions aligned with our ideal customer profile and pursue them strategically
Convert Inbound Interest Into Opportunities
- Engage quickly with inbound leads from marketing, PR, and conferences
- Conduct discovery conversations to qualify opportunities
- Move prospects through the evaluation and decision process
Help Build the Sales Playbook
- Share insights from conversations with academic leaders
- Help refine messaging, positioning, and objection handling
- Collaborate with marketing and product to improve use cases and materials
Manage Opportunities and Forecast
- Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking
- Manage complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
- Provide visibility into deal progress and forecast expectations

Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of enterprise or consultative sales experience in edtech
- Proven success selling to Provosts, VPs of Academic Affairs, Deans, or Presidents
- Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline through outbound prospecting
- Experience navigating complex institutional buying processes
- Strong consultative selling skills
Preferred
- Experience selling AI, analytics, or learning technology
- Experience working in early-stage or high-growth companies
