What's New in Nectir AI: February 2026 Product Update

Spring semester is in full swing, and we've been busy building features that make Nectir AI even more powerful for educators and students. Our February release includes three major updates: an interactive quiz feature that turns any AI Assistant into a formative assessment tool, a built-in Support Center that helps you troubleshoot without leaving your conversation, and a completely redesigned LMS integration setup that makes connecting your institution faster and easier than ever.
Let's walk through each one.
Interactive Quiz Feature

This is one of our most-requested features, and we're excited to deliver it: Nectir AI Assistants can now generate, deliver, and grade interactive quizzes directly in chat.
Here's how it works. A student studying for an upcoming exam can ask their AI Assistant something like, "Quiz me on Chapter 5" or "Give me a 10-question review on photosynthesis." The Assistant generates a quiz on the spot, presenting questions one at a time in an interactive format. Students answer step by step and receive AI-powered grading with detailed feedback on each response. This tells them not just whether they got it right, but also why the correct answer is correct and where their reasoning went off track.
Supported question types include multiple choice, true/false, multiple select, fill-in-the-blank, and short answer. This gives educators flexibility to test everything from factual recall to conceptual understanding.
What makes this different from a standard quiz tool is that it's conversational. Students can ask follow-up questions about a topic they got wrong. They can request a harder quiz or ask the Assistant to focus on areas where they're struggling. It turns assessment into an active learning loop rather than a one-way evaluation.
For educators, this means your AI Assistants just became formative assessment engines that are available to students 24/7, meaning no extra setup is required. Students get the practice they need on their own schedule, and the feedback is always grounded in the course materials you've already uploaded.
Nectir Support Center Tool

We've all been there: you're in the middle of setting up a new Assistant or adjusting a knowledge setting, and you hit a question. What does this toggle actually do? How do AI Controls work in Workspace Settings?
Previously, you'd need to open a new tab, navigate to our Support Center, and search for the answer. Now, you can get that answer without leaving your conversation.
The new Nectir Support Center Tool allows any AI Assistant to search Nectir's official support documentation and answer platform questions directly in the chat window. When a user asks something like, "What is AI Controls used for in workspace settings?", the Assistant searches our knowledge base and provides an accurate, sourced answer on the spot.
This is particularly useful for administrators who are configuring workspace-level settings, educators experimenting with new features, and anyone onboarding to the platform for the first time.
Redesigned LMS Integration Setup

Setting up Nectir AI within your Learning Management System is one of the most important steps in getting your campus up and running, and we've made it significantly easier.
We've redesigned the LMS integration experience in Workspace Settings. Here's what's new:
- A clear integrations dashboard. The new LMS Integrations table shows all your connected integrations at a glance, with details including instance name, type, platform, client ID, and URL. No more guessing which connections are active or hunting through settings to find configuration details.
- Guided setup flow. Workspace owners can now add new integrations through a step-by-step wizard with progress indicators. For Canvas manual integrations specifically, the new wizard walks you through each configuration step so nothing gets missed.
- Easy management. You can remove existing integrations directly from the table, and quick-access links to our Support Center and Trust Center are built right into the interface for security and compliance reference.
This new setup experience is designed to get you from zero to integrated with less friction and fewer support tickets.
What's Next
We're building toward some exciting capabilities for spring and beyond. Stay tuned for updates, and as always, if you have feedback or feature requests, we'd love to hear from you at support@nectir.io.
