We believe that true innovation happens when passionate people come together to collaborate, share ideas, and challenge the status quo of education technology. Our team is growing, and the people we're adding say a lot about where we're headed.

We're excited to welcome Lindsey Nicholl to the team as a Customer Success Manager supporting the California Community College system. She brings 18 years of higher ed experience, a master's in Adult Education and Training, and a personal connection to the learners Nectir was built for.

Meet Lindsey!

Lindsey Nicholl is Nectir's newest Customer Success Manager!

1. Can you share a brief introduction to who you are, your background, and your role at Nectir?

I'm Lindsey, a Customer Success Manager at Nectir, specifically supporting the California Community College system. I'm based in Chandler, Arizona, and hold a Master of Arts in Education with a focus in Adult Education and Training. I've been working in higher ed since 2008, starting at the University of Phoenix and moving into edtech in 2019 with CampusLogic/Ellucian. I joined Nectir in 2026 because I wanted to help make AI feel accessible and useful in education, not overwhelming. Now my job is to make sure campuses not only adopt the platform but also get real results from it. That means providing training, onboarding, troubleshooting, and serving as a consistent point of contact for faculty and administrators.

2. What were you like as a student? Was there a key moment in your educational journey that shaped how you think about learning?

I was a good student who loved school and reading. My sophomore English teacher is the reason I wanted to teach high school English instead of elementary. I'm a first-gen student, so college always felt like a given, not a choice. I left Northern Arizona University with an English degree, planning to teach. That plan changed, but education never stopped being central to everything I do.

3. What pulled you toward edtech specifically, and what made Nectir the right place for you?

I left the University of Phoenix ready for something new. CampusLogic/Ellucian felt like the right fit; I believed in their mission and knew higher ed was where I belonged. Edtech felt like the perfect intersection of my higher ed experience and my desire to actually move the needle. Nectir was a different kind of pull. My younger sister always struggled in school, and I have nieces and nephews who are neurodivergent. Learning what Nectir could do for learners like them made it personal. I wanted to help make a real difference in education, not just work in it. Meeting the team sealed it. I fit in professionally and personally. It just felt right.

4. What's a problem in education you're genuinely excited to help solve?

AI in education only matters if people use it and use it well. I'm excited about breaking down the fear and skepticism around AI for both faculty and students. When educators feel confident with these tools, they can do more for students who need it most: first-gen learners, neurodivergent students, anyone who's historically fallen through the cracks. That's where Nectir comes in. It's not just a classroom tool; it helps students build the habits, skills, and confidence they carry beyond graduation. Being able to navigate AI isn't a nice-to-have anymore; employers expect it. When students learn to use it well inside the classroom, they're better prepared for everything outside of it. That intersection of AI adoption, real-world readiness, and equity is exactly where I want to be.

5. What topic are you showing up to a PowerPoint party with?

Why Northern Arizona is the most underrated place in the country, a soundtrack included.

Arizona in all its glory.

Here are a few recommendations:

  • Sedona’s red rocks are stunning, but Flagstaff is the real gem not to miss.
  • Northern Arizona is full of unexpected surprises: four seasons, ponderosa pines, and small-town charm.
  • Drive up 89A through Oak Creek Canyon — it’s one of the best in the country!

While you explore, listen to: The Format, Caamp, Young the Giant, COIN, Cage the Elephant, Saint Motel, Sidney Bird, and Bay Ledges.
